Peter Wright reached the final of the World Cup of Darts yesterday losing out to the Dutch pair of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld. He was in a buoyant mood though wanting already to come back stronger and claim the trophy next year. Wright said he enjoyed playing in front of a 'fantastic' audience with him a lot of the time being an honorary German due to his fanbase over there. He also said he enjoyed playing with Gary Anderson as his partner. "I enjoyed playing for this fantastic audience", Wright said, praising the audience. "It was great to play with Gary, we enjoyed it." "The trophy should have been ours, but we're going to make sure that we come back stronger next year. Then we will not make the same mistakes again.
