As well as the entries being confirmed for the last Players Championship tournaments of the season, they were also set for the Grand Slam of Darts qualifier with one big omission.
Gary Anderson despite playing this weekend in Barnsley in the ProTour tournaments did not enter the qualifier and as a result will lose his ever present record.
Anderson has kept this in recent years due to reaching finals of major tournaments but a drop in form and rankings saw him needing to play the qualifier but he has decided to stop his run since 2007 with only James Wade if he wins through able to keep that run alive.
Raymond van Barneveld, Jose de Sousa and Scott Waites are also amongst those involved attempting to qualify.

ANDOH! Gary Anderson has decided not to compete in the Grand Slam qualifier on Sunday. Ando is one of only two ever-presents in the Slam since it began in 2007. James Wade is the other ever-present and he is listed to play on Sunday. 📸@taylanningpix
