Gary Anderson edged past Rob Cross in a 7-5 win to restart the Premier League Dart action with 'The Flying Scotsman' surviving two darts for a draw before closing out the win.
Anderson wasn't happy with his display overall and with Michael van Gerwen on the horizon next up, he believes it is the perfect time to play him.
"I think you've seen the ugly, the bad and the really ugly. It was terrible. Like I say, one minute the throw is fine, next minute it's gone," said Anderson post match.
"I should be making it easier, I'm not saying I'm better than any other player but in my game myself the way I throw, I shouldn't be hitting 60's, it should be 140's or tons at least."
"I've thrown away games before and lost a couple of points so I've pinched a couple tonight."
"I've got nothing, there's no consistency whatsoever. It's a good time to play me I can tell you that for a fact, I'm absolutely rotten."
