Lisa Ashton lost out in the first round of the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship with defeat to Adam Hunt in a last leg thriller.
Ashton spoke afterwards and was 'annoyed' with her first round defeat but after her maiden year on the PDC ProTour, she hopes to come back stronger.
"Iโ€™m so annoyed with myself. I had chances and I didnโ€™t take them, but well done to Adam and good luck to him," said four-time BDO Women's Champion Ashton.
"I was thinking about last time I played here when I went a set up against Jan Dekker, I was trying to put right what I did wrong on that night but it just wasnโ€™t meant to be.
"Iโ€™m learning all the time against the best players in the world. I will learn from it and hopefully Iโ€™ll be back next year and I can get over the winning line."
'The Lancashire Rose' revealed before her tie that her husband, Derek suffered a heart attack before her Women's Series triumph which she admitted she has tried to separate from her darts.
"My preparation wasnโ€™t bad, despite whatโ€™s been going on in my personal life. Iโ€™ve tried my best to keep the two separate.
"Iโ€™m quite happy with my first year in the PDC. Iโ€™ve taken some scalps along the way and hopefully next year I can progress further.
"Iโ€™ve improved my game a lot but Iโ€™m still learning. My challenge now is to take these lessons and make myself a better player for it."
