Dimitri Van den Bergh goes into tonight's
Premier League Darts action in Rotterdam with just one win in the last six weeks and the Belgian is the first to admit that something just isn't clicking so far this campaign.
“I played here when I was a contender in 2019 and what an experience that was,” said Van den Bergh. A draw against James Wade was the result that night but with draws now removed from the Premier League Darts format, the Dreammaker is out to get a much needed win.
“There was literally a sea of orange, I had a lot of support and I had a great time up there, so the plan is to continue that great time and get a couple of wins under my belt," he explains. “You’re playing against the best of the best. It is called the Premier League for a reason. You are being selected to be part of the elite and you want to show why you are."
After four straight quarter-final defeats it seems as if Van den Bergh's chances of making the play-offs are over. Nevertheless the Belgian vows to keep fighting until the end. “At the minute something is not there, but I will keep digging in, and I will not give up because it can all change in a couple of weeks’ time.”
