Danny Baggish produced an epic final day at UK
Q-School losing to Scott Mitchell in the final but despite defeat, he gained in the form of a PDC Tour Card.
Baggish was on zero points to begin Day Four with the likely outcome he’d have to win outright and some key wins late on against the likes of Peter Hudson and Shane McGuirk unlocked it for ‘The Gambler’.
He needed only a solitary leg but didn’t know that with the despair of thinking he had to win it then turning to elation when he found out, Baggish described the feeling afterwards.
"I put so much pressure on myself, I felt like I had to win it,” said Baggish post match.
"I wear my emotions on my shoulder, I’ve got so many messages, I think I’ve got more fans over here than I’ve got in the States. It's just unbelievable - this is a dream come true. I'm a professional dart player. I've always thought that my scoring was always well, and as long as I could get my doubles in check I could compete with anyone.
"I believe it in myself and it's only the start. The first step is done. I'm looking to compete with the best and I can't wait to make it happen."
