Belgium need one more leg for second round at World Cup of Darts after Finland ease past China, Philippines beat Singapore

Belgium only need one leg tonight in order to progress to the second round when they face China after the team of Xiaochen Zong and Lihao Wen fell to Finland.

The Finnish team who were comprehensively beaten yesterday by Belgium despite the latter's differences pounced on missed darts at doubles from the Chinese duo.

Finland got away with it in the opening leg picking the pocket of China after Wen missed darts to lead. He returned again in the next leg but again missed three.

Myller stole it as a result on double 12 to double their lead with an 84 checkout. Zong still couldn’t get China on the board and Myller cleaned up again to make it 3-0. He sealed it from there on double two.

While the pairing of Lourence Ilagan and Tour Card holder, Christian Perez who reached the Quarter-Finals on his first weekend of ProTour action after visa troubles eased past Singapore 4-1.

The only leg they lost saw them miss match darts to claim it. They now head into a crunch clash tonight with the Czech Republic for a second round spot.

But it was a good start for Philippines who have offered so much promise in the past but have yet to deliver.

This time though they have a pair of established Ilagan and Perez who has shown himself to be the leading light of the team.
