Bunting dreaming of World Championship glory: "Who's not to say the big lad from Merseyside can't go all the way this year"

Stephen Bunting survived a comeback from Ryan Searle to claim his spot in the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship.

Now Bunting is dreaming of going all the way at the Alexandra Palace with a tie against Krzysztof Ratajski next up with a big opportunity presenting itself for 'The Bullet' or 'The Polish Eagle'.

"I actually felt like I was cruising and then the next minute I felt like I'm in trouble. It was such a strange game," said Bunting post match.

"I let my guard down for one second and like Michael van Gerwen says you give a finger and he takes a hand and that's what it was. You can't give people like that chances because his form over the last year has been up there with the best. What a player and what a gentleman he is."

"You've seen big seeds fall. Who's not to say the big lad from Merseyside can't go all the way this year."

"I'm just so happy to get through that game. I can't wait."
