Bunting knocks out Thornton; Hughes overcomes Petersen at Czech Darts Open

Stephen Bunting and Jamie Hughes are the final two names into the second round at the Czech Darts Open in Prague.

Hughes defeated Devon Petersen, who played very inconsistent despite a early 2-0 lead. 'Yozza' had a weak start but managed to increase his level after a few legs. The Tipton ace broke the South African's throw in the seventh leg with a 13-darter, before he doubled his lead in the eighth leg. Petersen reduced the deficit with double 8, before Hughes secured the win with a 56 finish.

Bunting reached the last 32 after overcoming Robert Thornton 6-3. 'The Thorn' came back from a 5-0 deficit as he won three legs on the spin, but 'The Bullet' avoided more overtime with a 12-darter.
