The first semi-final is set with
Michael van Gerwen on course to delight the home faithful at the
Dutch Darts Championship and is two games away from doing so.
Van Gerwen eased past Keane Barry 6-2 in the opening Quarter-Final with the Irishman seeing his impressive weekend come to an end at the hands of the Green Machine.
It could have been so much more for 'Dynamite' who blew up when it came to the doubles with 2/13 which allowed MVG to coast through despite only averaging 91 and missing 12 darts at a double himself throughout the tie.
Next up will be
Dave Chisnall, a familiar foe who knows how to beat Van Gerwen and has also tasted
European Tour glory this season.
He ended the run and the potential for Peter Wright to play MVG in the semi-finals with a 6-1 rout over 'Snakebite' averaging 95 in the process in a superb display from the St Helens ace. In particular, he impressed on the outer ring with 42.9% in all.
