Dave Chisnall's superb form continues as he moves into the Quarter-Finals of the
European Championship where he will face either Chris Dobey or Jose de Sousa in another big chance for the St Helens ace.
This after Chisnall recovered from a slow start to power past Jonny Clayton in a 10-6 win. Concluding with a 92 average, five 180's and a high checkout of 121, the slow start was compounded with missing 16 darts at double in all throughout.
Going 3-1 down, Chisnall recovered with a 100 checkout after a break of throw seeing him locked at parity at 3-3. Both continued to hold throw to go into the latter half of the match with Clayton hitting a 121 checkout not on the bull but on double 14 for a 6-5 lead.
But after Clayton missed 101 for a 7-5 lead, Chisnall levelled up and broke himself at 7-6 after two missed darts from Clayton which proved vital. From there, he hit a 121 checkout on double 18 for 8-6 and fired him there sealing it on double 20.
