Gabriel Clemens saw his superb run at the PDC
World Darts Championship stopped in the semi-final against Michael Smith on Monday night. 'Bully Boy' was too strong in a 6-2 win over the 'German Giant'.
The German was able to keep up with an unleashed Smith in the first four sets, but then saw him surge ahead. Still, Clemens could look back with a satisfied feeling.
''I had to play someone who really threw everything. He kept throwing 180s and hitting high finishes. The better player won,'' Clemens showed sportsmanship afterwards in conversation with DAZN.
''I think I didn't play bad myself. It was very cool to play a semi-final at a world championship. I would like to experience that again. I now hope Michael Smith also wins the world title,'' Clemens concluded.
