Jarred Cole will head into 2021 Q-School as one of the leading lights aiming to claim his Tour Card.
But after his disappointment of 2020, he is aiming to return even stronger after losing to Aaron Beeney who came from nowhere to claim his Tour Card last year.
"I am really looking forward to Q-School this year, little bit disappointed that I'm having to go but I'm feeling really comfortable, really confident. I'm excited to get going," said Cole to Online Darts.
"It's one of those if I'd have looked back at it and had a sour thought about it, it could take people back for miles. It did hurt I can't lie, but it made me stronger."
"It's never ideal to lose especially when you're that close but it's done now. It's made me a better person I think."
He has been one of the leading lights in online tournaments including the MODUS Icons of Darts League and was pleased with that as preparation.
"I was really happy with how I got on, I'm playing against really good dart players, people who have won several major tournaments, people who have won World titles. It's an experience you can't gain anywhere else."
While heading into this year's Q-School, his mindset remains the same and that's to treat every day as it comes.
"Every day counts. You need to make sure you're building up points so you have a chance even if you don't win it outright, the mentality has to be the same."
