February was usually the month that the Premier League Darts would begin but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, that is not the case. As a result, DartsNews takes a look back at some of the best matches and moments from previous years.
Our next moment comes from Michael van Gerwen who hit a World Record average during the 2016 Premier League when he defeated Michael Smith 7-1.
It was 123.40 as he eclipsed the previous record set by Kim Huybrechts at the 2017 World Cup albeit in a shorter format of best of seven.
Peter Wright would go onto eclipse this on the ProTour but Van Gerwen's televised record still remains as the former was streamed online on PDC.TV.
