Cross spoke to LiveDarts afterwards; he gave an honest assessment of playing in front of German crowds. He admitted that for him it's tough and that he comes to play darts and to earn a living; but that everytime he plays in Germany, the crowd is disrespectful.
He added that he gets that they want a big star to come through; but that in his opinion that will never happen at the moment because of the World Championships being held in the UK.
'I will be honest it's tough; I only come to the darts to earn a living. I earn a living for my family; I take my money home and that's what I wanna do,' said Cross.
'But every time you come and play in Germany, it's the most disrespectful crowd if you play a German and I can understand they want a big star. It maybe don't help their players because the World Championships are in England and playing in England they don't get that sort of support; like I say I think the most disrespectful crowd I've ever played against.'
'Everyone has to put up with this but in fairness, in England we don't get booed; in Germany we get booed; Holland ain't even that bad and to be honest I can understand their wants; but they'll never get it because the World Championship ain't played in Germany.'
