De Graaf & Prins potentially interested in playing in PDC World Championship qualifier

Aileen de Graaf and Sharon Prins potentially will try to participate in the World Championship Darts at the PDC. Earlier, the organization announced that two ladies get a place in the extensive field of participants.

The PDC organizes two qualifying tournaments. One for British ladies and one for female darters from the rest of the world. Players like De Graaf and Prins can take part in the second qualifying tournament. "A nice promotion for the female player. I would love it ", says Prins in conversation with RTL Nieuws. She thinks the ladies could give the men's a good game. "I think they will follow us anyway. They also see that we have a certain level and can come with the men. The best men throw an average of 100, we around 90 and sometimes also around 100. Great that they give us as women a chance now. " De Graaf, two-time semi-finalist at Lakeside, would also find it 'wonderful' to participate in Alexandra Palace. "I have never been in such a venue, I think it will be really noisy", thinks the multiple BDO Major champion. De Graaf does not have a favorite opponent to potentially play at the PDC World Championship. However, she hopes to meet someone she can win against. "Getting a little further is also fun. I would like to play against Michael van Gerwen, that sounds great to me ... but you do not want to be thrown off right away, of course."
