Yesterday, it was a trio of nine-dart finishes with Jamie Hughes, Cameron Menzies and William Borland pinning them during European Tour qualifiers and in a crazy ten minutes which saw an almost record average, there was two more at Players Championship 22.
Jose de Sousa and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez showed that there must be something in the air today in Barnsley.
Rodriguez pinned his to break and go into the decider against Dimitri van den Bergh going 180, 180, 141 before 'The Dreammaker' produced a ridiculous 151` checkout against the throw to win 6-5.
While De Sousa did his in the penultimate leg against Mervyn King which did the opposite as it carried him through to the decider which he claimed with a 13-darter.
