Glen Durrant is through to the Third Round at the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship after seeing off Diogo Portela in straight sets to end Night Two at the Alexandra Palace.

Durrant has struggled to recapture his form since his Premier League triumph after his bout with COVID-19 and looked still far from his best and wasn't pleased with his display despite winning through.
To begin the tie, Portela struggled to gain momentum and continue from his brilliance on Tuesday night. He averaged 72 in the opening set which allowed Durrant to coast to it without reply.
Durrant wasn't playing great himself but the Premier League champion was doing enough averaging 2-0 without dropping a single leg in the contest at that point.
He didn't hold that though for much longer but despite Portela asking the question and going 2-1 up in the third set, Durrant produced an excellent spell to close out the match.
This saw an 112 checkout and double eight for a 14-darter with Portela well back as the three time Lakeside World Champion returned to winning ways.
