At the beginning of August, the details for the ladies' qualifier for the PDC World Darts Championship were announced. Previously it was confirmed that two places in the field are reserved for female players.

The Rest of the World Qualifier for the World Championship will be played in Düsseldorf on Saturday 17 November. This qualifying tournament is open to players who aren’t British nationals and are older than sixteen. However, it is not yet known whether there are consequences for the ladies who participate in the qualifying tournament for the World Championship and are qualified for Lakeside. In the past, male players were only allowed to participate in one of these events. The Dutch darts association (NDB) said they have not received any news on this yet. "It is not known to the NDB yet what the consequences are for the players from the BDO and/or WDF who participate. Despite attempts by the NDB to find out. As soon as this is known, the NDB will give further updates on this subject'', they said.
