Matthew Edgar once again will compete at the
PDC World Darts Championship over the next few weeks and he will once again get some practice in with former major winner,
Kevin Painter.
Edgar spoke to the Weekly Dartscast and told the story of how they began to practice with each other and how that spurned him on.
“He moved to Daventry and I was out one day practicing and he happened to be there. I ended up having a practice with him then he was like do you want to come down and have another practice,” said Edgar on Weekly Dartscast.
''At the time I was just playing local stuff I didn’t really have the funds to do anything other than that. I found myself challenging him and at the time, he was in the top 16 in the World. I thought if I can challenge him, surely I can have a crack at this.''
''We've practiced constantly ever since and Kevin's the best practice partner I've ever had."
