The action has begun on the penultimate MODUS A Night At The Darts of the first week with Ritchie Edhouse and David Evans making strong starts to proceedings.
Edhouse began proceedings by edging past
Raymond van Barneveld in a 5-4 victory. He claimed it despite RVB hitting three ton-plus checkouts including a high of 131. Despite that 'Madhouse' came through with a 97.2 average and a high of his own in the form of 116 in a good start for the multiple Challenge Tour winner.
Evans also made a strong start to proceedings seeing off
Martin Adams in a 5-2 win hitting a 94.6 average and 5/8 on the doubles in claiming the tie.
With no
Wessel Nijman tonight due to it being his night away from the oche, 'Stretch' will hope to make good strides ahead of tomorrow's decider where he could win two different MODUS tournaments in two weeks.
