Evans claims another Icons of Darts League win ahead of Monk on leg difference

Evans went 11 matches unbeaten over the course of the last two iterations of Pool B but this momentum was halted by Arron Monk who himself was on a roll at that time.

Monk claimed a 4-2 victory over Evans to make it four straight victories and put himself in a real position to top the group this time around.

He made sure of that by seeing off Wessel Nijman in his penultimate match but had one more tie to go which would be the difference between him winning and losing the group.

He faced Keelan Kay who was sitting on five defeats for the day at the bottom of the table going into the tie but the youngster upset the form book pouncing on Monk relinquishing a 3-1 lead and one match dart which allowed Kay to sneak through 4-3.

As a result, with Evans leading on leg difference already going into the tie, the win was the only equation and he didn't claim it meaning that it was 'Stretch' who once again is the victor as the Icons of Darts League comes towards it's conclusion on the second week of Phase Two.
