Evans said in the tweet in question that he gets them too; one of those examples has been shared during today's MODUS Icons of Darts League; in which 'Stretch' is competing in. This was tweeted through MODUS's Twitter account earlier this afternoon.

He was sent an abusive message saying: "You fat ugly n*nce if I see you I'm going to snap your jaw". After this message, it was revealed that the person in question has a history of sending these messages; with an old Twitter account surfacing; where he sent messages to the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Kim Huybrechts and Daryl Gurney back in 2017.
