David Evans has continued his form that he has showed throughout this week by claiming a double win to begin A Night At The Darts Group Five.
This was book ended by a memorable win over
Phil Taylor which saw 'Stretch' punish ten missed darts at double from the 16x World Champion en route to a 4-2 win with a high checkout of 127.
He will be searching to extend his lead in the overall table as he looks to go closer to winning the week and he looks in good form once again.
Evans started his night before facing Taylor by adding to this overall tally with a victory over
Fallon Sherrock which was a comfortable 5-1 win with a 101 average and next up will be his fellow high flyer,
Wessel Nijman.
Before being defeated by Evans, Taylor claimed a whitewash win over
Michael Warburton 4-0 which saw him hit a 97 average and 4/5 on the doubles as he produced some real quality.
Nijman though couldn't produce on his overall tally after seeing off
Phil Taylor as he lost out to
Martin Adams 5-3 with a 96.5 average.
