Find out the highest averages from Players Championship 19 right here including 111.57 from Gian van Veen!

Another Pro Tour tournament is in the history books and at Players Championship 19 of the 2024 campaign, it was Chris Dobey who took the spoils and picked up the fifth PDC title of his career so far. 'Hollywood' wasn't able to claim the highest average of the day however.

That honour goes to the Dutch talent Gian van Veen who averaged a brilliant 111.57 in his third round of Players Championship 19, against Cameron Menzies. Incredibly though, this performance still wasn't enough for Van Veen to take victory in the encounter, as Menzies, himself averaging 108.59 (the second highest average of the day ed.), took a 6-2 win as part of his run to the final of the event.

In the final, Menzies came up short against Chris Dobey and as you might expect for the tournament winner, 'Hollywood's name does pop up a number of times on the list of highest averages. In fact, both the third and fourth highest averages of the day went to the former Masters champion, those being 107.94 and 105.52 respectively.

The current Masters champion Stephen Bunting completes the day's top 5 highest averages with his best effort of 105.48, before the likes of Ross Smith (104.54), Danny van Trijp (104.50), Menzies again (103.86), Michael van Gerwen (102.83) and James Hurrell (102.59) follow on the list.

For Dobey meanwhile, the aforementioned 5th PDC title of his career sees the Englishman move top of the 2024 Players Championship Order of Merit at this relatively late stage of the season. After nineteen of the thirty Players Championship tournaments, Dobey leads the rankings with 62,500 pounds. Close behind are Ryan Searle (£60,000) and Damon Heta (£58,000), while Ross Smith (£53,500) and Danny Noppert (£46,500) are hot on the heels of the former Premier League Darts star also.
