Luke Humphries looks potentially set to continue his
European Tour dominance to begin 2023 after seeing off Dirk van Duijvenbode to begin the final session at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open with a 100.5 average in seeing off the Dutchman 6-4.
However, Van Duijvenbode started the match well. By hitting out 102 and 119 among other things, Van Duijvenbode took a 3-1 lead. However, with a 12-darter and a 112 check-out, Humphries returned to 3-3. Van Duijvenbode then threw a 134 finish, followed by a stunning 161 finish from Humphries. He then snatched the leg from 'Aubergenius' before Humphries took the win with a 130 finish.
While Searle also looked superb again setting up his semi-final with Humphries which followed. He breezed past 'The Needle' with 'Heavy Metal' prevailing in a 6-1 win with a 99 average.
