Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and Michael Smith early winners at Players Championship 25, Peter Wright and Jonny Clayton out

The top 16 seeds have been in action at Players Championship 25 with some big names making it through to the second round and some falling by the wayside.
Gerwyn Price is second seed today and the leading light with Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries both deciding against playing this week. He saw off Ryan Meikle with a 99 average in the opening round.

Dave Chisnall is top seed and saw off Bradley Brooks 6-4, while Gary Anderson and Michael Smith sealed wins over Damian Mol and Adam Gawlas respectively.
Albeit there were defeats for Jonny Clayton who continues his poor run of form with a 106 average from the returning Nick Kenny who took a break from the tour. Stephen Bunting, Damon Heta and the most recent PDC winner in Ricardo Pietreczko are also out.
