Heta too hot for Waites, Searle and Gilding continue superb form as second round begins at Dutch Darts Championship

Damon Heta, Ryan Searle and Andrew Gilding are into the final day of action at the Dutch Darts Championship and will play for spots in the Quarter-Finals in Zwolle.

While not at his best, Heta was too hot for Scott Waites and will now face Michael Smith or home hope, Danny Jansen. He averaged 85 with a high checkout of 129. Missing 13 darts at doubles, he held the edge though in a 6-3 win with Waites averaging more but hitting only 17% of his doubles.

This compared to superb displays from Searle and Gilding who will now face off tomorrow. 'Heavy Metal' triumphed 6-3 against Ross Smith 6-3 and despite fourteen missed darts at double, he produced a 94 average in an impressive display.

While 'Goldfinger' who has been one of the most consistent players on the PDC Tour this season saw off Krzysztof Ratajski hitting a 170 finish and produced a 98 average in the end to book his final day spot.
