Luke Humphries has claimed his tenth title on the PDC Development Tour after defeating Ted Evetts in the final of the 17th event of the season in Wigan.
Humphries averaged 102 and hit a 12-darter and two 13-dart legs to battle past ranking leader Evetts. Cool Hand Luke beat the likes of Lewis Pride, Geert Nentjes and Ben Cheeseman en route to the final.
Wigan hosts the fifth of five weekends in this year’s PDC Development Tour, which will each feature four £10,000 tournaments for players aged 16-23. The likes of Luke Humphries, Bradley Brooks, Justin van Tergouw, Mike de Decker and Berry van Peer have entered these events.
