Humphries reflects after reaching PDC World Youth Championship Final: 'After three years, I deserve this’

Luke Humphries has reached the PDC World Youth Championship Final and he will now face off against Adam Gawlas at Minehead in a few short weeks.

Humphries who alongside Ted Evetts has been dominant on the Development Tour was playing in the event for the final time.

‘Cool Hand Luke’ has reached the latter stages before in his quest for Minehead but had never gone the whole way.

Understandably he said afterwards that he is over the moon and that he can’t wait also to play in Wolverhampton next year.

He ended it off by saying from his perspective he deserves this and he will now hope to defeat his emerging opponent.

'Wow, wow, wow... I'm into the final of the World Youth Championship! I'm literally over the moon. Worlds cannot describe how I feel at this moment in time.''

''For me, this is everything I've wanted and one more game to become a world champion. Adam Gawlas is a fantastic player and it's going to be a fantastic game.''

''Another absolute plus is I'll also be playing in the Grand Slam of Darts next year. I'm absolutely buzzing for that. I worked so hard and played so good. In my eyes, after the three years I deserve this. I'm just so happy.''
