Adam Hunt, Aden Kirk and Stephen Burton claimed the last three qualifying spots for the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship. They came through the PDPA Qualifier on Monday afternoon in Milton Keynes.
Burton made name for himself already last weekend at the Players Championship Finals, where he beat Jermaine Wattimena and Darren Webster. The Ipswich ace lost in the last 16 round to Michael van Gerwen, but took his form with him to the PDPA Qualifier. He beat Arron Monk, Darren Johnson, Kevin Painter and Scott Taylor to win the third group.
The other two places were won by Hunt and Kirk. Hunt defeated Richie Burnett in his final, who beat John Part in the semi-finals. 'The Hunter' also booked victories over Terry Temple, Maik Langendorf and Bradley Brooks en route to a World Championship spot.
Kirk edged out Madars Razma in his final. 'Captain Kirk', who beat Phil Taylor at the UK Open in 2014, also beat Jamie Bain, Dawson Murschell and Zoran Lerchbacher.
