Belgium saw off Poland with relative ease to reach the Quarter-Finals of the 2022
World Cup of Darts.
For
Kim Huybrechts and
Dimitri van den Bergh getting the win is the main thing, while 'The Hurricane' was without a breeze with hot conditions in Germany.
"It was a difficult game. We didn't play our best, Dimitri was good enough. I was good enough but we did the job and if we can win every game and just do the job, I'll be a very happy man," said Huybrechts to Online Darts.
"I'm a fatty so the warmer it gets, the more difficult it is. I think it's like 40 degrees on that stage but for the opponent it's just the same so no excuse."
"Me and Kim have played for a couple of years and Kim was always the captain and always playing first. I was always like I'll play in your shadow, it works for me then all of a sudden, he says I'm going to put my confidence and trust in you. I believe in you," said Van den Bergh.
He also spoke about their next clash with Australia with the mentality again to get the win by all means necessary.
"Australia are going to be our opponents and if we can just do the same thing just a little bit better, that'll be perfect. Just get the win, it doesn't matter how."
