"I know I'm in Michael's head": Price believes in mental edge over Van Gerwen ahead of Manchester crunch clash

Gerwyn Price will face Michael van Gerwen on Thursday evening as Premier League Darts hits Manchester for Night 14 with only a few nights to go.
Currently Price sits in pole position to seal top spot and will face Van Gerwen, his nearest rival.
A player who for years had his number but speaking ahead of their tie, he believes he now holds the mental edge.

"I know that it’s in Michael’s head that he hasn’t beaten me for a while," insisted Price.
"I went on a 19 or 20-game streak without beating Michael, so if I can get him past that I will be happy!
"The pressure is off now going into the next couple of weeks, but there is still £10,000 up for grabs, so I still want to win the nights and keep the other boys that haven’t qualified under pressure.
“It’s a nice feeling to be top of the table, but I’m not worried about top spot to be honest. I was just eager to get into the top four, and hopefully I can keep on winning."

- What a undignified way to bow out of the darts for the greatest darts player ever, absolutely the best. Nobody was as dedicated or committed or even half as good as Phil. He completely dominated darts, not only the greatest darts player ever but also one of the greatest sportsman ever. Ayrton Senna is my ultimate hero but Phil won 16 World Championships, Eric only won 5 and that won't be surpassed. Thank you Phil, not my most favourite player but certainly the greatest and loved watching you completely destroy every opponent, almost never missed a treble or any check out. - I don't have a problem with someone being whoever they want to be, but ultimately there is a Ladies and Mens format for a reason. What is going to stop substandard men claiming that they are transgender and entering the ladies format for an opportunity to increase their profile, prize money, ranking etc etc. We know that the current crop of PDC players will suck up to van Leuven and will not speak out.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
- The bottom line is Beau will be a triple World Champion soon. She is so many levels better than the rest of the ladies. Lorraine and Aileen have never really raised their game, I really expected the quality of the ladies game to have improved but excluding Beau, it seems to have detiorated. Beau is too modest and could easily mix with the men and beat most of them.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
