The second round continues at the
German Darts Championship and there have been three terrific displays back-to-back including differing Dutch displays of success.
Jules van Dongen has been utterly superb in recent months showing the form that catapulted him onto the PDC Tour and with an uphill battle to keep his Tour Card, he has continued to bank prize money while showing his skill with it.
That was very much evident as he took down Danny Noppert in a display which made you wonder who was really the World Number Nine. 'The Dutch Dragon' kept taking out clutch doubles, with Noppert waiting on makeable finishes and took him down 6-2.
This featured a 101.3 average and five 180's from Van Dongen who is into the third round of a
European Tour for the first time in his career.
The Heat brings it as Killington thrashes Van Duijvenbode
Darryl Pilgrim who has often been the spoiler wasn't thus today as
Damon Heta set with one of his superb walk-ons did the business again. 'The Heat' who is second seed this weekend brought it in a 6-4 win with a 94.4 average, three 180's and 55% on the doubles.
But perhaps, it was George 'The Killer' Killington with the display of the tournament so far. Flattering to deceive in a win against Scott Waites, he received criticism for snubbing Waites after he hit a nine-dart finish.
In moving through though, he faced Dirk van Duijvenbode and wiped the floor with 'The Titan'. It was a 6-0 win for Killington in an astonishing scoreline as he averaged 103.6 despite not hitting any 180's.
There were 10 140's with Van Duijvenbode being very out of form averaging just 80 and only getting a dart at a double. While Killington was 6/13 on the outer ring.
