Jimmy Hendriks seals PDC World Darts Championship debut with final win over Hopp at West Europe Qualifier

Jimmy Hendriks will make his PDC World Darts Championship debut after winning the West Europe Qualifier in Kalkar, Germany, on Saturday.

Hendriks reached the semifinals after victories over Richard Veenstra (6-5), Jurjen van der Velde (6-4), Mats Gies (6-1) and Mareno Michels (6-1), among others. He then faced Maik Kuivenhoven, who would also potentially retain his PDC Tour Card by making it.

However, the win in the semifinal went 6-3 to Hendriks. 'The Captain' faced Max Hopp in the final, who had eliminated Owen Roelofs and Christian Kist, among others. However, the final was a 7-2 win for Hendriks with Hopp's second chance after losing the German Super League not proving fruitful.
