Lewis after receiving abuse due to first round performance at International Darts Open: "People can laugh all they want, anxiety is absolutely horrible"

Jamie Lewis bowed out of the International Darts Open in Riesa on Friday afternoon with a 59 average on his return after taking a break from darts at the end of the PDC Autumn Series.

Lewis received abuse as he detailed on his Twitter afterwards for this display and said that anxiety played a part and that it'd be a different story normally.

"People can laugh/take the p*** all they want anxiety is absolutely horrible," said Lewis on Twitter.

He followed that up with an example of the abuse he received with Instagram DM's from trolls asking him to quit darts: "Yeah I played like a d*** but do I really need to deal with this s***, if I was comfortable in myself, it would have been a different story," he said.
