Luke Humphries won the
Czech Darts Open on Sunday night. Cool Hand Luke' beat Kim Huybrechts 8-1 in the final in Prague. For Humphries it is his second tournament victory this year on the European Tour, after winning the German Darts Grand Prix.
For Humphries it is the second triumph at the Czech Darts Open, previously he also managed to win the tournament in 2022. However, his performance this tournament is quite remarkable, as Humphries lost only eleven legs over the entire tournament.
“When I beat Ritchie Edhouse on Saturday I felt good, but I felt I needed a spark, and I found it today,” reflected Humphries.
“When I beat Gian I felt that spark again, but I still know there’s another level in me, and I believe I can get better."

World Grand Prix
Humphries lost 6-4 to Mike De Decker in the World Grand Prix final last weekend. “It’s nice to bounce back [from the World Grand Prix], because when you lose in major finals it’s not easy; it does hurt you, so this is a nice way to finish my ProTour season.
Finally, the 29-year-old Englishman had a message for the Prague crowd. “I’m going to come back next year and I’m going to work harder. I’m going to change things and I’m going to win more – that’s my commitment to the game!”
Humphries starts the European Championship as the second seed at the end of this week. In the opening round, he will take on Nathan Aspinall.
