The PDC has again published an alternative world ranking. This only takes into account the last 200 legs played by each Tour Card holder. And that results in a different number one than that of the official world rankings.
Luke Littler, last weekend's overall winner at the Grand Slam of Darts, is number one in this alternative world rankings. During his last 200 legs, the 17-year-old Englishman averaged 102.64 and 42.88% on his doubles. Meanwhile, on the official world rankings, Littler has climbed to fifth place.
In second place we find Damon Heta. The Heat' surprisingly did not qualify for the Grand Slam of Darts, but is in excellent form, as evidenced by the fact that he is the only other player besides Littler with an average of over 100 in his last 200 legs. The 37-year-old Australian, 11th in the official world rankings, clocked in at 100.35 and 47.26% on his doubles.
The top three is completed by
Gary Anderson. The Flying Scotsman, semi-finalist at the Grand Slam of Darts last weekend, averaged 99.26 and 40.94% on his doubles during his last 200 legs. On the official world ranking list, the 53-year-old Scot is only in thirteenth place.
Just outside the top three we find Wessel Nijman in fourth place. The 24-year-old Dutchman particularly impressed at the Grand Slam of Darts last week with a 100+ average in all his group matches. Still, he lost all his matches. During his last 200 legs, Nijman achieved an average of 99.07 and 40.54% on his doubles. On the official world ranking list, Nijman is currently 60th.
