Martin Lukeman was in superb form on the opening day of the German Darts Open as he breezed past Gabriel Clemens 6-1 averaging 103.58 but interestingly did so while the German averaged 107.35.
Lukeman spoke afterwards and harbours title aims after thrashing the German Number One and continuing his superb 2022 so far.
"I'm happy, I'm playing well and practicing well. I'm up for this. Today I had to dig deep and I done it. I'm due one, ProTour or European Tour, I had to keep my Tour Card the beginning of the year. I've won more than that in one tournament this year," said Lukeman post match.

A 107.35 average from Gabriel Clemens was only good enough to win one leg against Martin Lukeman. Lukeman, who averaged 103.58, swept aside the German number one to complete the second round line-up.
