Meulenkamp on UK travel restrictions: "If we want, we can at least practice for a few hours a day"

For Ron Meulenkamp like many others, he will spend Christmas in London despite losing his tie against Vincent van der Voort.

This is due to travel restrictions preventing travel out of the UK including to the Netherlands.

"During my match, everything was stopped. No boats, trains, no planes, nothing", Meulenkamp told Omroep Flevoland about this situation.

Thanks to the closing of the borders, it will be a difficult task to be in the Netherlands at Christmas. "That sucks. We will probably miss Christmas and if things go against the grain, also New Year's Eve."

Fortunately for people from Almere, there are some dartboards in the lobby of the hotel. “If we want, we can at least practice for a few hours a day. That would be a distraction. ''
