Monk edges past Portela to claim top spot in Icons of Darts League Group Three with clean sweep

The third group of the week in the MODUS Icons of Darts League is complete with Arron Monk claiming the honours after an excellent day from the former World Youth Champion.
Monk claimed a clean sweep of four victories in all with the fate of the group decided with the Andover ace seeing off his nearest challenger in Diogo Portela in a 5-4 win with a clean sweep of four victories throughout the day.
These were against Andy Jenkins (5-2), James Hubbard (5-2) which saw a nine-dart finish from Monk, Adam Huckvale (5-2) and finally the aforementioned Portela win.
He has bounced back well after finishing third yesterday with two wins and two defeats to ease through the latest group.
Diogo Portela ended up finishing second in the group ahead of James Hubbard who had his best day so far. Adam Huckvale and Andy Jenkins finished last with the latter not claiming a win throughout proceedings today.
