NENT Group secure exclusive PDC broadcast rights in the Netherlands from 2022

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group), who run the streaming service Viaplay has secured exclusive rights to show live PDC darts in the Netherlands on their platform from 2022.

This will be a long-term deal which will run for the next five years with the NENT Group also sealing rights for Formula 1 and Bundesliga football in the country to run on their platform which is set to launch in Q1 of 2022.

They will also work together to devise a darts event in the Netherlands featuring the world's best, it has been revealed with more details set to be announced soon.

With this deal, a long period of RTL7 showing tournaments on their channel comes to an end after a deal which lasted since 2012.

Michael van Gerwen said: "There's so much talent in darts in the Netherlands and it's great that fans will be able to watch PDC tournaments through Viaplay from early next year. The PDC's partnership with NENT Group continues to grow and we can all look forward positively to the future with them."
