Danny Noppert has continued his brilliant form this week at the
World Grand Prix in Leicester after a superb display to see off Ian White 3-1.
Noppert adds to his victories over Michael van Gerwen and Vincent van der Voort with a 95.7 average, five 180's and 52% on finishing doubles and he will now face Krzysztof Ratajski or Jonny Clayton.
Noppert got off straight away with it taking five darts for White to do so and as a result, he claimed a solid hold of throw in the form of a 56 checkout after White's pressure didn't throw him off.
White on the other hand though got off 160 on his throw but still went down a break throw with Noppert throwing for the set. He ended up claiming it with a 15 checkout on double four.
White returned and left 46 with a 140 set up with Noppert not on a finish and 'Diamond' pinned it to go one up.
Noppert couldn't get a shot at 110 and White had an opportunity at 80 which he took to break and go 2-0 up.
White drifted into the single five and Noppert broke back to make it 2-1. Double 12 saw Noppie level it up but White despite drifting into the double nine from 81, he pinned double three to make it 1-1.
Noppert began the third set leading with a hold of throw in the form of a 96 checkout and he went one away from a two sets lead with a 25 checkout.
A 104 checkout saw White level it up at 2-2 and force a decider with a 41 checkout seeing Noppert go one set away.
Both players shared 180's before Noppert hit a 116 checkout to go 1-0 up with a break.
A 180 followed by 140 saw Noppert in pole position but he drifted on the 121 checkout attempt before White broke back with a 60 checkout.
The same checkout was missed by Noppert on the bull but returned after three darts for White went wayward.
Noppert though did the same with a 25 checkout and White was back for double five and again he missed a shot. It was finally double four for Noppert.
A 140 teed up 86 for Noppert with White back on 161 and the Dutchman pinned it on the bull to claim the tie.
