Noppert had difficult run-up to Players Championship Finals: "Been a little ill all week and still not 100 percent"

Danny Noppert started the Players Championship Finals with a bang. In his opening match, The Freeze defeated Simon Whitlock 6-1.

Noppert achieved an average of 106.59. "This is something I can only be proud of," Noppert opened up to TOTO Dart Kings. "Even though it was a difficult week leading up to this tournament. After all, I was a bit ill and still don't feel 100 percent."

UK Open

In early March, Noppert won the UK Open at Butlins's resort in Minehead (where the Players Championship Finals take place). "It's kind of special to return here now. It's also a nice venue with a real vacation atmosphere and everyone staying near the venue. Although the crowd was particularly quiet today."
