Danny Noppert thrashed Daryl Gurney in a sublime display to reach the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 World Matchplay where he will face World Cup teammate, Dirk van Duijvenbode but he isn't dreaming of the title yet.
"Of course, I'm feeling really good. Finishing was good today and performance was well. Treble 20 was not my best friend today but treble 19 saved me a few times. But yeah finishing was brilliant today," said Noppert post match.
"Of course you are dreaming but we will see game by game. Not dreaming about this title but when I'm in the final then of course I'm dreaming but not now at the moment."
"I'm in good form and enjoying it. If you're enjoying the game, you can do big things."
Hitting a blind 180 against Gurney, he discussed the thought process on it.
"It was the chance for me. It was in, he did it the game before. I'm confident that's why I do that, the throw before he did it blind so I thought why not?"
