The PDC will return to action in July with both the Summer Series and World Matchplay announced to take place but for many rankings are an issue due to there being no clarification regarding changes or freezing of them due to Coronavirus.
Matthew Porter, Chief Executive of the PDC spoke in a recent interview; he said that cancellations will be a major factor in any future decision.
"We haven't came to a joint decision yet because we don't know the extent of the cancellations. The extent of the cancellations will dictate what we do; with regards to players retaining or losing money," said Porter in an
interview with Phill Barrs for Online Darts.
"Clearly if everything is lost, it would put us in an extremely difficult decision. Players rankings would be decimated; if we are able to catch up a large proportion of events then we would hope to stick as closely as possible to the prescribed rules as they are at the moment.
As we don't know what that's going to be like yet, we are going to wait until we know what it's going to be like before we make that commitment."
