PRICE CLINCHES THE DECIDER! Joe Cullen can't quite believe he didn't reach his second televised semi-final there as he loses the deciding leg on throw to Gerwyn Price! 📺 Up next 👉 Michael van Gerwen v Dirk van Duijvenbode
Gerwyn Price is the latest player through to the semi-finals at the Players Championship Finals after getting over the line in a decider against Joe Cullen.
Price won through despite hitting just 28% on the doubles and his next task could be a tantalising tie with Michael van Gerwen.
Cullen claimed a 2-0 lead to begin the tie but Price broke back with a 116 checkout. Despite that, Cullen streaked into a 4-1 lead at the interval as he took control in the early going.
They returned though and The Iceman squared it up at 4-4 with three consecutive legs as he began to find his form.
It was very much level from there with Price battling back to parity. Cullen though retained the lead with Price unable to break the throw and he went one away but Price held firm with a 13-darter to send it the distance. He claimed it from there to move through in a 10-9 victory.
