Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price met Friday night at the 'Over The Top' exhibition event in Barnsley. It was 'The Iceman' who prevailed this time.
Price recorded a resounding 9-3 victory over the Dutchman by posting an average of 113. Incidentally, Van Gerwen in turn recorded a monthly average of 102 per turn. It was the second consecutive day the two rivals faced each other. On Thursday, Van Gerwen won the first showdown, despite a nine-darter from Price.
A total of three matches were played Friday night in Barnsley. Robert Thornton won a demonstration match against Fallon Sherrock 3-2, while James Wilson won the mutual duel with Nathan Rafferty 3-0.
