Price to face non Tour Card holder Van Veen in final of Players Championship 29

World Number One, Gerwyn Price will face a non Tour Card holder in the final of Players Championship 29 shortly with Gian van Veen the next hurdle for 'The Iceman'.

Price ended the run of Mike de Decker in a 7-4 success after ascending the world rankings again on Monday and he will aim to add important distance between himself and Peter Wright.

But Van Veen could pay heed to that with the 20-year-old Dutchman who has only played eight tournaments due to being a late call-up from the Challenge Tour is into his maiden final.

A sensational 7-3 win over Dave Chisnall with a 100.4 average continued to add to his credentials and he will now take aim at trying to seal a maiden PDC title shortly.
