Rampant Ratajski thrashes Landman to seal Players Championship 9, 10th PDC ranking title for The Polish Eagle

It is a tenth PDC title for Krzysztof Ratajski who reached back-to-back ProTour finals, but this time it was victory for 'The Polish Eagle' who soared to an emphatic 8-1 win over Chris Landman at Players Championship 9.
Ratajski seals his first title since November 2021 and after a poor run over the past year seems to be hitting form again at the right time.
Ratajski made a dream start to the final. He hit a 116 checkout to lead before producing a 124 checkout to lead 3-0.
His lead went further to 5-1. It was so good for 'The Polish Eagle' that he hit double eight but didn't realise he'd won the leg to go 6-1 up so hit double four too before being told by the match official.
Landman continued to shake his head as Ratajski continued to surge away. He pinned 56 to go one away. Then concluded the win with a clinical 58

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
